Thailand Diving Destinations

Similan Islands

The Similan Islands offer the best Thailand diving destination, and nearly all agree that the reefs are some of the healthiest you will find in all of Asia. The Similan Islands are a mix of gentle sloping hard coral reefs, huge current swept rock formations, enormous fan corals, fabulous soft corals and fish, fish, fish.

Phuket Island

Phuket has an impressive variety of diving opportunities available which suit all levels of divers and it’s a perfect destination if you’d like to combine your holiday with diving, the beach, shopping and night life.

Phi Phi Islands

Koh Phi Phi is located 45km east of Phuket and has some excellent dive sites for all levels of divers. The shallow hard coral gardens you find here make Phi Phi a great spot for snorkelling as well.

Koh Samui & Koh Tao

Koh Samui & Koh Tao are located in the Gulf of Thailand and offer diving as well. The quality of diving is not as high as in the Andaman Sea, but they are still worth a few dives when you are there. Depending on the season, you may have a good chance to dive with a whale shark.
