Mon Cham – is located about an hour from Chiang Mai at 1,250 meters above sea level, on a hillridge in a less discovered area campsite within the Nong Hoi Royal Project. Today, it is one of the largest producers of vegetables for the Royal Project marketing division, as well as a research centre for herb and vegetable production.
If you looking for a bit of an escape from the heat of the city Mon Cham is your place to be.
To go there just head towards Mae Rim Road 107, and turn left at Mae Sa Valley. Keep driving till you reach the sign (on your right) Mon Cham. Keep driving up the road for about 9km. A stunning nearly 360 degree view into the valleys is greeting you, after hillside passes with cool air from the mountains calm your body. You’ll pass a small village, and Mon Cham is right on top of the mountain. There are many signs so don’t worry about getting lost.
